Remembering Mary Black
Poem by Calvin Black
If it was Christmas or Thanksgiving,
Or even working in the summer,
The tireless drive to phoenix
Our spirits refreshed by your supper
There was magic in Tita’s touch,
and sunshine in her smile.
There was love in everything she did
And she did it with style
We watched countless movies far into night
Finally knocked out waking up to the smell of delight
To a beautiful life,
Comes a happy end,
She died as she lived,
Everyone’s friend.
